Project series: Site-specific design and planting of simplified open-geometry grove plantations. Following the Old English term hall, heall denoting a roofed space for communal use, Halls provide a flexibly-interpreted, time-based architecture of the outdoors.
The open-structured collonade of tree stems and green overhead canopy of these groves are interpreted differently in each project. The scale, density and species of each plantation are shaped by the context, functions, and the people with whom they are made.
